Martha’s Vineyard has long been considered a safe haven for African Americans. Join fellow Pirates on this walking tour of Oak Bluffs, a town within Martha’s Vineyard that is steeped in African American history and culture. Learn historical facts about President Barack Obama & his Family, Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr., Abolitionist Frederick Douglass, Civil Rights Lawyer Adam Clayton Powell and Harlem Renaissance Icon Dorothy West. All are welcome. Tour includes:
